Nasreen is an award winning cinematographer whose narrative and documentary work illuminate historically excluded voices by normalizing intersectional storytelling. By centering the most decorated track athlete in history, and the largest telescope NASA has ever constructed, Nasreen thrives as a leader in visual storytelling that shifts our culture. Her ability to motivate audiences is a direct result of approaching each story through intersectional identities.

Successful productions include lensing the Emmy award series Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man, the Emmy award winning feature film Can’t Look Away, 3x Emmy nominated Wanda Sykes’ special Legacy, Kamala Harris’ Vice Presidential campaign, NASA’s Unknown Cosmic Time Machine, Netflix’s Supreme Models: Iconic Black Women Who Revolutionized Fashion, Apple’s Dear…Billy Porter episode, and the feature film She Runs the World about Allyson Felix which premiered at Tribeca. Nasreen has helped shape campaigns for NASA, GitHub, and the Women’s March, in addition to lensing feature length scripted films. Forbes described her as “breaking barriers.”

Supported by United States Artists through the Ford Foundation and the Mellon Foundation, Sundance Institute, the American Society of Cinematographers, the American Film Institute Conservatory, The Center for Cultural Power, Women in Film, BAVC Media, and Getty Images. Nasreen has participated in the Sundance Film Festival and developed programming for AFI DOCS, the Nantucket Film Festival, the Brooklyn International Film Festival, CINE, TIVA, and the EMMYS. She helped to lead the 2022 Disability Belongs LAB, dedicated to introducing twenty Disabled writers, and directors to Disney, Sony, Lionsgate, Paramount, Sundance, Dreamworks and Warner Brothers.
